Spiders hate vinegar. It doesn't kill them but they will leave their hiding places so that you can smack them with a shoe or machete.
My wife and I had this problem about 6months ago.
I also bought a couple of gallons of ant/spiders/anything living spray and soaked the inside and outside of the house.
I also decided to try a bleach/vinegar mix that killed them instantly. Then I called my wife to tell her how smart I was for finding an instant spider killer and she told me mixing bleach/vinegar creates gases that can kill you. So only use that formula outside.

DAm I hate spiders.
I suggest getting a Pellet Gun and blowing them away, you could make a night of it, ask some mate to come round, get some beers in, and go to work on the fuckers.

google 'spider fighters'. it's a slang word for a 'flower' and i say that loosely that is i'd say the size of a grapefruit, round and a bit bumpy. they grow on trees in the south and fall to the ground when ready. i guess the locals there harvest them and put them in the corners of their basement and it somehow keeps the spiders out. they don't like the scent of them, but humans can't detect it. safe for animals too. (i think). maybe they sell that shit online someplace?3.
get a cat. our little gal is great at catching spiders. you'll walk into a room and she'll be sitting there staring at the wall, you'll look up and there's a spider and you're like 'OH SHIT' and smash it with your shoe and smash a hole in the wall. haha.

Just got an anti-termite guy to come over tomorrow to spray the foundation with some kind of killer concentrate thingy.
Hope it will work! I bet it's gonna look like ass spraying that crap on a white house though :/
