You think Iran will play nice?
planet01
(Sep 11 07, 13:05)I don't know...what does that mean? I mean we're the one with an army and four aircraft carriers on their border, a zillion to um zero nuclear weapons, what do they have? A handful of taxicab drivers in NYC? A giant amount of a substance under their ground that we've proven we will take over sovereign countries for?
I think the question is do the Iranians think we'll we play nice...

What do you make of the alliances they are forming with Russia and China?

1) welcome Iran to Baghdada
2) Turkey welcomed to EU
3) leave Afghanistan ( nothing there )
4) Shift war debt to Saudi Arabia et al
5) Build refugee/exile camps in New Orleans
6) defrost osama (check out the new "war beard for men")
7) level Abu Ghraibsubrosa:
1) devise additional islamic heretical teachings starting with one that abolishes slavery and enfranchises women
2) keep covert ops against al-qaida active
3) extradite Douglas Feith
and Richard Perle

All manageable if we had an administration who could actual DO foreign policy. I noticed we played nice with North Korea and they're shutting down their reactors...so far the only success Bush has had...If we hadn't sold out our economy to the Chinese to enrich hedge fund managers we wouldn't really have to worry about the chinese now would we?

that's pretty funny dobs. you're a funny guy!
theblueone. 1 will never happen unfortunately. 2 won't happen this year, unfortunately. and i dont see it happening until the race is on in 08 and the repubs can pull troops and say 'see see, we're pulling them' hoping to shift the election in their favor.
china scares the piss outta me. spies in the us, front companies (at least 80) and a recent hack originating from china. scary. iran is the least of our worries.

I would dare to say that the US hasn't lost a battle since the war begun. A surge in US troops will naturally lower levels of violence but the problem that's being glossed over is that success will not come from military victories.
What I don't like about this is how the administration is claiming that the military is determining the actions in this war. So basically they're blaming the problems on the military rather than their own incompetence in producing a stable political system.
The only thing Bush Co. has been successful with is placing blame on everyone but themselves.

I would feel no remorse getting lindsey graham a glass of water out the toilet.

koNa, I know..I know...
It's just frustrating. I mean this sincerely, it's like watching democracy die and you can't do a goddamn thing about it..and as you weep at what's falling apart you get morons who call you unpatriotic...it's insane...
China does scare the piss outta me, as does Russia. At the end of the day terrorism isn't that big of a deal..most of the world have lived with it for a looong time (europe, uk, israel, etc..) Americans are just being reactionary pussies or at least letting the elites/media use it as an excuse to power grab state apparatus of control. The real foreign policy issues are Russia and China...Iran, Iraq, all this shit is nothing..

Just wait, the army will soon have the stab in the back the US needs for "peace with honor".

oil isn't nothing . China drinks oil and as long as US controls it they can whistle in the graveyard all they want.
The US will be in Iraq for 60 years.

(Sep 11 07, 13:24)Absolutely true, as it was true in Vietnam as well. We have (or had) the best motherfucking military on the planet. But wars aren't just won by winning battles..
I mean I have zero clue as to what are the "winning" metrics for Iraq. Seriously I see this idiots holding signs saying "Keep out troops there so America Wins!"
Really? Wins what? What are we winning? How do we win? What does America get from this "win"? Seriously...I mean at best do we get a pacified Iraq where the people there fucking hate our guts quietly? Cuase that looks like the best case scenario now..
- capsize0
name one Iraqi poet.
We don't give a shit about them or their culture. Stop pretending we could.
- mrdobolina0
who was pretending?
