that Chomsky illy is awesome, arthur.

His work really is very high quality - quite inspirational. Been a fan for a while.
I'm not liking that new site though - usability's not great and it seems to break quite easily :(

yes, there are still a few bugs.
Please let me know what issues you're having.

Usability wise - although the blur thing at the start is cool - for too many seconds it prevents me from accessing the site, even after the loading bar's disappeared.
Having just refreshed - I think a lot of my problems were due to un-preloaded content - or, at least, not having had ample visual cues to prevent me from clicking on some works. This led to white boxes loading up, seemingly doing nothing, then one instance where the preview box broke entirely, to be made up solely of the buttons (forward, back, close), bunched together without the large white image-containing box. If that makes sense?
Also, and maybe it's just because I'm on a wee widescreen laptop, the nav element buttons on the pop up disappear entirely after a couple of popups - again, this isn't the end of the world as there's secondry nav (click on image for next pic, outside box to close etc).
Not the end of the world - just annoying :)

(do you think maybe it's 'not the end of the world'? :P )

nice work. site is a little clunky... (horizontal scrolling is jumpy) and blur in flash for blurs sake is starting to get on my tits now.
the work speaks for itself, leave the fancy flash stuff to people trying to sell fancy flash stuff.

great work! not sure where to begin regarding the site though other than saying that I felt the previous one was much better..
This one doesn't seem to suit the work, feels too modern and over-designed, takes away from the work... which there may be a bit too much of, maybe split it up a bit into 'featured' and 'archive'..
hmm, guess I did know where to start..

useful feedback - I appreciate it.
will be taken into consideration. Priority one is to show the work.

great work.

Love the work. Site, not so much.
Very slow scrolling/loading. Scroll and scroll bar not obvious on first glance.

great stuff as usual!!

great work arthur
might want to unload the previous project image on popup close so we don't see the old image while the new image is loading when a new project is selected

love the work.

as others have said, great work, not so great site. Feels too slick. The look you have going right now looks more like the portfolio site of a flash designer/programmer, although the functionality of course is not there. The morphing flash pop-up hurts my eyes. If you stick with that route, you should definitely keep the window at a constant size.

I like the site, just a few bugs to work out but good stuff

good work
after the amount of work and money I'm guessing it took to get this site completed, these comments are probably the last thing he wants to hear

(Sep 5 07, 10:07)haha. some truth to that statement.
I understand the comments about the site. I've been working with it a long time and it's second nature to me, so it's good to hear input from fresh eyes.
I've been very fortunate to have had very good and generous people working with me for little or no compensation, to which I am indebted.
Design: Piperboy
Build: Dan at iashido.comI'm very happy with the site, and it meets my needs well, but I agree there are a few bugs that need to be ironed out.
The priority to me on the user end is that the illustration samples be easy visible and accessable. I feel the site is pretty minimal and doesn't compete with the work. But, I take the comments I receive seriously, and am thinking about them. This site is my main advertising tool and the fate of my family's finances depends on it.
Appropriately, I am listening...
