I think Team Shake is the only team that knows what they're doing to be honest. He told me he's known since week one his game plan and has been sticking to it ever since.
:D

Alfredsson got 7 points tonight! I can't wait to watch the All-Star game.
FYI:
Skills competition is on Saturday at 7pm, and the actual game is on Sunday at 6pm.

Really, it's weird how he's not the captain of the All-Stars team. I'm biased, but the team actually sucks without him. He's old (will be retiring in a few years after his contract runs out, most likely), and Lecavalier is young and didn't want to be the captain of his own team before. I like Lecavalier, but I'm sure he'll be playing for years to come.
Hart Trophy, here he comes ;)

I really like watching the Skills Competition. It's awesome and it looks like the players (well most of them) are having a lot of fun.

Sorry about talking about Alfie all the time. Clearly I am obsessed ;)
Yeah, the skills should be good. I think I will watch the All-Star game this season...for the first time ever.

Haha no need to be sorry, he's a great player and it is kind of mystifying why he isn't Captain especially given the tenure difference and that Paddock is the coach for the Eastern side.

Haha you've never seen the All-Star game?!
They switched up the Skills Competition a bit to try and make it more inviting to the casual fan (yet again, but at least there are finally trying I guess). I think they really wanted Crosby to be available, because the shoot out competition is akin to the NBA Slam Dunk contest where players are judged on their moves leading up to their shot.
I hope they let Malkin give it a shot, he is great (well usually with defenders he can be a bit clunky when he is solo) and is finally showing it now that they put him back at Center as opposed to throwing him on Crosby's line (since he's hurt), and he is getting that goal hunger back.

Yeah, I read more about it here:
http://www.nhl.com/nhl/app/?serv…Sounds cool. Not sure why I have never watched it before. Sucks that Crosby and Heatley won't be there :(

That article got me pretty excited, haha. Especially since I still can't go out and play all that much until probably next weekend.

You play hockey?

Go out and play = Go outside and have fun.
I just got my staples removed from my appendectomy earlier today and the doctor says I should still take it easy for another two weeks. :X
- Jaline0
Oh, right. Hope you feel better soon.

I feel fine, it just sucks because I am supposed to be in Tampa right now (until Monday actually) and had tickets for the Sens game actually, haha.
They beat up on them pretty good too.

Selanne's coming back, apparently.
I hope the Ducks lose though...
(I am still slightly bitter about last year)

I hate the all star game...but Look out I'm in fourth now!
I'm learning to skate now to play hockey in a summer hockey league. I think Vinny was a way better choice as Captain then Alfie. And I don't think an explanation is needed to justify that. I do have one though. :)

LeCavalier isn't even Captain on his own team. They made him Captain of the All-Star game to show that he should be Captain again of the Lightning since their management are dinosaurs.
- Jaline0
haha, I agree with flavorful. While he is one of the best scorers in the league, I have never noticed him making the plays / moves necessary to lead a team. A good captain can make everyone follow him.
- Jaline0
But I do admit that the All-Star game wasn't all that exciting. It was fun though...I guess.
