and now its html with a bit of javascript

fine here. Vista+Ie7 and FF2
But whilst in ie7 the right side scrollbar remains visible, in FF the scrollbar automatically disappears when the page fits the height of the screen (e.g. going from main page to contact page), making the whole thing jumpy.
