Holy crap, they may be finally doing the "Earth Wars" series.

Warning, possibly NSFW, looks of blood spatter.

Not sure what earth wars is, but the first AVP was such a letdown.
It had potential to be really cool, but instead just fell flat...
The trailer for this looks decent, but i'm not expecting much...
What is the story for this one? Not really sure from the trailer besides more predators sending alien seedlings to earth to battle.

every single shot is a fucking gore fest and to top it all at the end says "christmas" in blood red... i laughed my ass off

bah. Hollywood. You could do so much better.

Actually, now that i think of it, this must be TOTALLY off the old Alien timeline from the old movies. Alien 1-4 takes place several hundred years in the future. This seems to be now-ish, meaning no memory of the Aliens in the future or anything.
Aliens Earth Wars picked up after the second Alien film (The Cameron one), and was actually the original basis for Alien 3. If memory serves, the 'company' has gotten ahold of an alien queen and keeps it captive. Hell breaks loose, and you can fill in the blanks from there.

"Hello, is yer wee sister there?"

They're pissing all over the Alien series with these new AvP movies. Downgrading them into teenage slasher movies? not cool.

exactly. crap.

If they wanted to do another crap AvP movie, they could have explored something in the timeline after Alien Resurrection (yes, crap movie) when they ended up back on earth. Some potential there.
But doing movies in "now" times is always cheaper and easier.
