I have a box, but I deleted one of the faces earlier. I need to seal up the hold where the missing face is. what's the best way to do that?
I know in Photoshop or Illustrator you can simply take the pen tool and close a path, well I need to do that in 3DS, except it's an entire face that's missinng.
I was thinking of just using a rectangle, but I dont know how to fuse it with the main box.

go to the sub menu for face, select add face
you'll be able to snap to the vertices on your object. Once the face is complete, it'll show up as a highlighted, completed face.
I don't have Max on this computer, so I could be off on the names, but that's about all it takes.

What's the best method of transferrring a 3d Max 9 file into flash?

swift 3d? depends on what you are doing with it and what you want it to look like,

there's an render .swf option. Or are you actually talking about bringing in a model? If that's the case, i once exported an ascii file from Max for a flash artist to build the model in Flash. I'm not sure how that worked but let me see if I can find out more.

use director if you're looking to bring in real models.

I think rendering as .swf would work best? Where's that option?

max can put out vectors as swf. curves as ai. images as various formats. and animations as quicktime or image sequences.

Hmmm, i can't find that .swf export. Perhaps it was Swift3d that added that option into Max.
