Napoleon Dynamite, great stuff, I can do the dance too. shame about the fro though. As for the bike, leave The Ghost alone, you're jealous, I can tell!

BTW nice work Bolus, I like that numbering menu system too
*stars numbering menu*

yeah...sorry for being vague.
I was refering to Napoleon Dynamite...nothing more crytic than that.
I like your drawings. It just seems I've been seeing this style a lot the last few years. I guess I like Illustration that's a bit more polished.
But it's an aesthetic...and you rock it!

thanks

have to agree...
the dumbed down drawing has lost it's momentum and pretty common these days.
Nice work though

I think your work is amazing.
There are a lot of incredible designers but I haven't seen someone post their own (great) art in a long time. (I'm not on here A LOT so I could be wrong don't FREAK THE F OUT).
I can see how people could muster the "in" thing but I think it is easy to spot insincere "crude" art, and you are not of this category.

thanks grafiske, very nice of you! And thanks for the blog Philip, much appreciated.

out of curiosity atkinson, is it enough to make a living? i mean, the kind of work you do, etc? or do you have other sources of income?
i'm asking this because i'm sick of databases and process work and I need a change. I've been working on a illustration PF. The question is if (and i'm not even in London) it is possible to make a few € etc.
if this is an imposing question, just say so. np.

^ i meant that as on making illu alone - not web work.

No worries. I'm not in London either. Southport, like Blackpool but terribly posh and no tower!
I teach part time. Good holidays, OK but certainly not good pay, but enough to get by when things are crap. If I had the balls to go 100% freelance I think it could work, long long hours for low income but manageable type of thing. I've always reckoned you should have a shit job to keep you going that lets you make what you want without having to worry about making a living from it. 100% freelance= long long hours and little freedom. 50% freelance = longlong hours and 50% freedom. I'm waffling now. I like part time anyway, although it's a 100+ hour a week part time and I don't see my wife much at all!

sure. Then no, not at the moment ,but if I risked it then maybe. I organise shows, sell zines, make books etc. All helps. I also sell all I own on ebay now and again!

yeah but it's a risk...
i do it part-time too (more like an extra), but just the fact it is part time it looks like we never have time to develop stuff 100%.
maybe i'm also a bit too lazy and undisciplined - and I'm loosing. I lost a few gigs on that :(

I'm a fucking undecided person. shoot me if you catch me standing up!

Hmm, I think your [ones] work develops more with not having the constraints of freelance work full time. There is little time to explore new ideas etc with 100% freelance I don't think. Laziness is a killer though, I can't do that. Although stress is a killer too and I do do that.
