I live some 100 meters from Cock Tavern. You can see Emo House from there

(Aug 17 07, 05:22)Yeah I just looked at 2 bed Georgian town house this afternoon. 'Some' modernisation required.
For £275k you'd think you could at least live in it.
Shit man, average 3 bed house in Jersey is now £417k.
*cries into paycheck.

emecks, do you work for Scottish Apartments? your Myspace page and everything makes me believe you do. i remember voting for para's phrase or something at one of those sites.

wow, thanks ya hoooors :D
Je suis le truly touched (and not in a chossy way either)
To answer a few questions:
It's to let out, not to live in - couldn't afford the mortgage if I did live in it.
There's a good deal of improvements that can still be made to it, I intend doing some.
I hope to sell it again for a handsome profit in 2 years or so.
I do work for ScottishApartment - well they are my biggest client as a freelancer, they will also be taking care of letting the flat for me, doing linen & laundry etc etc..

I just bought a flat too. Well, should go through court on Friday and take possession on Saturday. St Brelades here we come!
(That will mean nothing to anybody who has never been to Jersey).

It all got arranged in December last year and I have been shitting myself ever since about it, feels good to actually have everything signed now and to be fully committed to it :)

I just bought an old house in Halifax. It's a triplex in a pretty cool part of town. It has taken up all of my time this month getting it fixed up for new tenants but I'm super excited about it. I really enjoy getting away from my computer to do some physical work... I learned how to replace a window this past weekend, put up a wall the weekend before and will be installing cabnets next week.

Might as well get on the property ladder before we well and truly run out space and houses go for a million quid per bedroom

Looks cool emecks, nice kitchen. You gonna bake us some cookies?
A lot of my friends have bought house/apartments recently and I never thought I'd think about buying but suppose you have to at some point.
