ok here it goes :
I dream like all of you... go the apple site and max out the top of the line for a G5... but spending $11k on my dream setup is not in my realm of $$$ to drop.
so I maxed out a mac mini... and it actually runs faster than my laptops and since I'm not doing 3D or after effects it suits my needs.
I did have some problems running CS2 - but now with CS3 (for the intel platform) it's been lovely sailing.

23kon - I've done work for Sony over the past few years and used to get boxes from there (flow team) so I was a PC guy a few years ago. and nope Apple does not flow free hardware (though I do wish they did)

material - don't knock AS1 mang - plus I haven't got the AS2 ports up yet - I'm only 1 dude... work with me. on a side note AS3 scares the shit out of me... so don't even ask.

Bunker - I thought making design 20 feet off my back-deck in a barn that was built in 1896 was a pretty sweet job. what do you suggest I do ?

JD, I was actually responding to Milan who posted in front of me in my remark about people basing their workstation choices solely off of advertising, pr or marketing schemes... there was meant to be a tone of sarcasm in my first sentence because I really didn't feel you were "bashing" PCs, rather just stating your preference, and hell, it is an article on Apple's site so it's not like you were really going to be quoted speaking about how terrific your new Dell is or anything like that.
Your work, like some others who frequent this site, is amazing; I think I'm more enthralled by "how" you create this work actually,mainly because I really just can't comprehend even coming up with something like that...
And don't worry, first shot of Wild Turkey after QBN Sessions concludes is on me.
