I wasn't going to take off work for tomorrow's game ... but now I definitely am.
- nice! the game is going to be hard. Sam Allardyce is about to be fired, he will get the player pumped up.cosmo

Amen cosmo, off to the pub! It is pouring down snow, so I would be calling a cab anyway... well hopefully off to the pub I guess, haha.

Arsenal again got man handled in the 2nd half, but they should have won that match. Lucky to get a draw I guess.
- Newcastle played extremely well in that case. They deserved a point from it.cosmo

Horrible performance from Arsenal today. Brough played well though.
This is what happens when you have 6 players missing from first team.

Hopefully this is the wake up call that they can't keep playing this way and expect to win or draw anymore.
Ugh. Ugh, ugh, ugh.

Be a Gooner. Be a Giver.
http://www.justgiving.com/beagoo…“Arsenal players, directors and staff are set to take part in the `Be a Gooner. Be a Giver' campaign ahead of the Chelsea match by donating a day's pay to the club's charity of the season, TreeHouse - which deals with autism education.”

The big four play this sunday. Both games should be highly boring, they are just going to defend for 90 minutes. Come on Gunners!
Arsenal v Chelsea
Liverpool v Man Utd

Haha yea. I really want to catch the game at the Pub on Sunday, but I'm sure most of the ManU/Liverpool cunts that are going to be there for that game are going to just take up space crying or cheering throughout the entire Gunner match.
- is setanta showing the other game? ESPN is trying to get rights for premiership beginning 2009. That would rock!cosmo
- ...rock!cosmo
- Holy fucking shit that would. Almost rock as much as when ESPN had the rights to the NHL... whoooops!********
- You can tell ESPN has been feeling out soccer for quite some time though, and finally someone with a brain is working on that side.********
- of the business.
NOTE SPACE FTW!******** - ha. Indeed, they know there is way more money in soccer than anything else. I could be wrong, but football (soccer) is just by far most popular sport.cosmo
- is the greatest sport.cosmo

calles, ronaldo, you and I are the only soccer fan in this place? whats wrong with you people.

This goes after Note number 7, haha:
It truly is. ESPN could have heralded real football into the American mainstream a long time ago, but they chose to back the MLS start up, that was doomed for failure from a ratings standpoint. You cannot and could not simply create a new league, in a sport that is already not "popular" in a country and expect it to succeed. If at that point, they did their homework and instead of just going, "Soccer is the most popular sport in the world, let's back this up start American League." We'd have
Setenta must make an absolute fucking killing over here, especially with the hiked up pub rates. An absolute fucking killing. But I sure hope ESPN's pocketbooks can take it away.
That is strictly a business standpoint stance of course. Without the MLS, and the coverage it received I do not think American soccer would be where it is right now.
Which is still without a player who could take up a bench spot on the big four, haha.
ESPN's HD is amazing too boot (pun intended).

Haha I know. It's a good thing we broke up the threads for Premiership and Champions League though ... otherwise we'd have to archive ourselves halfway through!

subversve likes the feetball as well, but he doesn't get all post happy all the time. :D

I agree. But MLS is getting Shevchenko in January. Where else would he go? Milan again? Nope, that guy is done. He is too old for and never was premiership quality, in my opinion at least.
