"Incase you hadn't noticed, BD4D has been re-designed too... One of the main focuses of the new site was to make it more open"to me, i'm afraid the homepage looks anything BUT "open".
the dark colours makes it look like a closed-book. it just looks like the splashpage of a web2 site with not much content beneath.sorry guys. :S
i prefer the styling of the old site over this.

"Hello! Where would you like to go?"
That's painfully familiar to a certain Microsoft slogan. Not the best of connotations.

Yeah BD4D has gone 2.0. Do they have a wiki?
Has been like that for a while, and the timeline thread is right below.
must fight the urge!

I prefer this over the old site which I never really liked. However, i don't really like this one that much either. The many different font sizes and colours make it difficult to instantly glance at key information.

he he he.....everyone is a critic.
I am more impressed with the fact that these guys got off their arses about 6 years ago and built something out of nothing.

-------------saying i'm lazy?!
i started Longlunch.com with a bunch of mates about 5 years back. it was similar thing to BD4D. had to leave though as the time it took to organise stuff ate too much into work hours. LL is still going strong though.

I don't think he was saying YOU were lazy at all just that he was impressed with what they have achieved.
Plus I have always wanted to go to a Long Lunch, they get great people in a bit too far though.

The redesign is welcome. I'm not a fan of the new style, but as i said, it's just style. Finally they've got a rss feed, and that is what i mostly care about.

--------i think the best one we did was the tDR talk. we got them to design a tshirt for the event. so for the event you could either buy a £5 ticket or a £15tshirt (as your ticket).
these were a limited edition run and some went on ebay for a fair whack from punters who'd bought them as tickets.
i's got two! lol

people still go there?
