re: "We make the best shit"?
they're trying to keep it 'street' remember?
i think the problem is that we expect more of them. they 'peaked' too early. a few seasons ago they had one of the sickest sites on the interweb and every site since has found it hard to breakaway and be a distinct improvement on the last version.
probs still the best snowboard site out there (although mervin still make the best boards) haha... drama!

i agree. i think for burton, because they set the bar so high for themselves, if the site doesn't blow me out of the water then it seems like "just another site." if they applied the same innovation to their web site as they did to their overall brand experience, then we'd have a lot more to talk about.

i think its pretty good, especially for being done in asp. i agree that their sites have looked more or less the same for the last 5 years or more, but i think they've carved out a good aesthetic.

board display is kinda weak this year.. too small, can't see graphics... and some of the images look a little cheap.
but i really like the outerwear navigation... looks great, fun and easy to skim over the collection.

it's ok, while I do agree, it looks pieced together. Like different groups worked on dif sections without the commonbonds that should tie the site together.
I'm not to fond of some of the usability... but eh, it's burton, can't reinvent itself everyyear, they tend to go on 2 year cycle with products. The inbetween year is just an update.
Rome SDS 4EVA!

also i think i heard it was a big transition year from them.. moving garment design out to cali or something like that... ?
or i could very well be full o'shit.

Overall - i don't dislike it, as with all these things i'd really like to see really big high quality shots of the boards. The BTV stuff is pretty well shot though... although not a patch on this:

who made it?

re: clothing design- yes, it is been moved (mostly) to socal. they are looking for activewear and women's clothing designers, so if anyone is interested, hit me up and i would love to forward to people doing the search.
re: who made it- the site is done 100% in-house by the design dept. in Burlington.

milo, that trailer for 'Picture This' was amazing. Did you see that double wall ride between the two chalet A-frames? so sick.
