so basically being canadian means you wear a woolen cap, go camping under a totem, brake a leg playing bowling and a cloud of mosquitoes the size of dragons leaves you with a funny haircut.

Maybe there is more forestry and greenspace in Canada = more mosquitoes? I have no clue.
I just know that I have no issue with mosquitoes, particularly this year, and I live in front of a forest.
