It ties back in to the generation of people growing up these days, being locked to their computers and losing their minds to the system. From your comment about it being easier to let society think for you.
It's eaten itself, where people's viewpoints are based on second hand opinions. Instead of experiencing things first hand.
And also, back to being self righteous and not thinking or caring about anything or anybody but themselves.
We've been narrowing things down for so long, it's time to start thinking about what's outside our mind and comprehension.
