movie posters come in two stages: teaser, which usually has no characters/actors but may suggest them and is often iconic or graphic, and payoff, which shows the whole banana
a standee is the big cardboard thing in theatres which is usually based on the key art (like for spongebob movie we did an eight foot tall sponge)
