So I have found myself in a jam where a client is avoiding my emails, phone calls once I sent him the bill for some work. Its not a lot of money but I don't like getting ripped off by suckas.
This guy was referred to me by a reliable source and payed up immediately after my first piece of work for him. So I really had no indication that this would happen , all I have is an email and a phone number as contact info.Does anyone have experience with this kind of situation?? maybe I'm SOL.

I'm Usher and you're R. Kelly - we're messin' with the same girl, same girl...

R. Kelly is the ultimate pedobear but he's better looking than Usher.

send additional invoices, marked "past due". send them certified, return receipt requested. after that, you sort of have to wait a reasonable time to get paid, and then you can maybe call a collections agency.
it sucks, but sometimes you get shafted like that. there's about $4k of work out there which i've never been paid for. i just wrote it off and learned to write better contracts.

This might sound creepy but it works.
Start calling him, find his home number if he doesn't pick up at the office, stop by his house, tell his wife you are stopping by to get past due money for freelance work. Call incessantly. Don't ever defame him, keep it civil, make it known you will not be letting it slide, but dont be threatening.
