(Jul 27 07, 07:35)agreed, although having made many trips there (not to resorts) i would recommend a night or two in a swanky place. cause after a while - and depending on where you go and how rugged you make the trip - you might not want to associate your honeymoon exclusively with squat toilets etc ;)

LOL, thanks. Making the trip memorable is exactly what I'm saying - Maria seems to be all about the beaches and swanky resorts. I mean don't get me wrong, I like it too, but I need to mix it with some excitement!
She can get a tan in our backyard..And for the record, it wasn't Dixie Chicks, it was Emmylou Harris - and if I'm not mistaken, your Range Rover was swapped for a Q7 when I "forced you to go" to the Audi HQ a few months ago.

hawaii is over priced and the tourism industry keeps hurting those living in poverty, which is quite rampant.
there is plenty swankiness in south america.
sorry. hawaii is one place i have no desire to visit. what can be seen/experienced there can be done elsewhere for less money, and mean more 20+ years from now.
