Doing a "fun" logo for a mate's "fun" event here in Sweden...
Does that look like something, and I quote, "that a Dad could knock up on a PC?".

The viking needs to be 'winking'..you know, make him a sort of 'cheeky chappy' of Scandinavia, a real 'Thor the lad'.
Maybe a couple of silhouettes of women in background, layed out on the ground behind him. Sort of the aftermath of some of his 'raping and pillaging' missions in the north of England..and them some burning shacks as well.
That would all rock!

No, someone said "My Dad could have done that..." and that annoyed me. It's not supposed to look THAT shite. It IS however, supposed to look a bit tongue in cheek / comedy-ish...

Ohhhh, I see. I really didn't help, then, did I? ha ha.. 'oops'.
Um, in that case - your circle's too big, your Norseman not quite expressive enough (as someone's already said - get him winking or sticking his tongue out, or something). Take the shadowing off and make your text chunkier in relation to your graphic. Heck, I'd even consider wrapping the text around the bottom half of your logo. Make 'the' in your text smaller. Brighten up your colouring (blue's a bit down, no?) and reduce the circle size, Make the horns and beard meatier.

Actually, sack the 'make his beard meatier' comment - if he's saucy, he needs to be well coiffured, so accentuate that and maybe consider rouge-ing his cheeks.
Or, make a loose hand flopping over one edge of the circle bound.
