So I have a disk of about 100 images, all large high res, and the images total about 4GB in size.
iView Media Pro is taking forever and I tried to use Easy Batch to convert them to smaller sizes just so I can scan through them, but it keeps crashing.
Any other ideas or good programs that can handle the task? I'm on disk 1 of 3 and in about an hour it's loaded about 1MB of the 4GB disk...

photoshop/file/automate works well for me.

bummer, a faster machine or the PS recommendation the other guys suggest.

iView should do it... but you have to turn off the 'rebuild thumbnail' and/or set 'don't render over x MB' options somewhere in the Prefs... so it just quickly loads the file list without doing any thumbnail rendering at all.. Then you should be able to move straight on to the batch resize...
Or.. Create an Image Ready droplet for stuff like this... drop large folder of stuff on it... make cup of tea.

photoshop actions, you'll do it in a jiffy....
you record your actions, create a droplet app. and drop your fie folder on it, couple minutes later, done!
