Might be moving there next year. Can anyone give me an idea of wages for an experienced senior designer with good print, AE and flash skills.
Also would I have to revert to the insane 10 days holidays a year? Life is too short and I enjoy my 25days off here (incl christmas etc).
Cheers,
Ted

Honestly depends on who you see. I got quoted as low as 50k and as high as 100k in one week of meetings.

Unfortunatley I don't have a choice. It's Toronto or bust! I'm moving there from Europe. Whats the standard like... I had a look around on the web and overall it's not that great, but maybe I'm looking in the wrong places. Anyone have a list of top agencies?

Jersey, what happened. I thought you would be there by now?

To cut a long story short. I will remain Jerseyraindog not Rontoraindog. Got offered work in Halifax (but didn't really like the place - no offence Halilogians! Nova Scotia is beautiful but...
While I was there with my wife we just began to question our reasons for wanting to move halfway across the world. A lot of the reasons we had for emigrating have changed since applying and we decided that we would stay here in Jersey. It's been a weird couple of months but we've made the right choice.
Just have to start looking for a small overpriced piece of rubble that I can make my own private fiefdom now.

so, winnipeg east?

So how many days do you usually have off in a year not including stat days?
- canuck0
Average holiday time for a new hire is 2 weeks. But you might be able to arrange otherwise, if the company in question wants you bad enough.
The place I am at now is giving three weeks after the first year, then basically you build up a day a year after that. So after five years you would have 4 weeks off.

I think if your senior you'd get 3 weeks plus christmas easily enough.

but every blissful day in Toronto is like a holiday... you generally skip to work, smiling at everyone you see while frequently commenting on how much you love the city and thanking the lord for the gift of life...

someone sounds a little bitter.

snuggles is a hater.
we have no place for him here.
also, no offense but I wouldn't want to live in Halifax either. It's a great place, but I prefer something with at least a medium-level of entertainment and city life, like Ottawa.

(don't laugh)

You obviously haven't lived here, canuck ;)
