Anyone know of a good 3.5" HD Enclosure that doesn't look like a piece of shit? Looking for USB 2.0. Thanks.

unrelated question but with a usb HD can you run video from it in aftereffects? i know you can but is this fast or does the video have to be on the computers drive or something faster?

usb.2 will lag a bit.FW800 is what I use now and its faster than the HD on my laptop.
In fact, I control my DV camera throgh the computer, chained to my FW 800 drive. delay is the same as if plugged directly.

cool i got usb 2.0 but my projects are getting too big for the computers drive. i'm doing a lot of juggling between them. should look at one of those fw800. thx

I went with that one. I then picked up a can of automotive spray paint and painted it. Looks a lot better now, and you can make it any colour you want.

moneycide, usb 2.0 claims a faster transfer rate(480 Mbps vs. 400 i think) but it isn't sustained. go with firewire.
