One of our clients got the idea to use an 'X' instaed of the "O' in his logo (the company name is St Cross...geddit). I've tried telling him that the idea is forced and just wont read right but he's not for turning.
Anyone seen an example of that kind of thing actually working?

don't moan about it, fix it.
offer a few solutions showing the logo as the client wants it then show a few of your own suggestions which will obviously show the client the error of his ways.
in the end, the client pays the rent.
