I saw it years ago, nice, but not my thing either. That and a cheesy ending. The vision of the future seemed lame, ie. lack of personal communication devices aka mobile phones.
I liked the Vangelis score back then.

haven't seen it but it is one of the favorites of my most critical teacher in school. did it have award winning title graphics or something?

the concept and AD, along with the proto work for the vehicle design (Syd Meade), not to mention the modernist design and space planning were genius and so cool to look at today, IMO.

hey blue, me too. saw it w/my dad at the theater but i was around 11 and didn't quite get all of it.
