I have a 2.3 15 MBP with 3Gb Ram and a 24" Dell. Use it as the main machine with an external harddrive. I switched from a Sony Vaio, to the Mac, but remain using win XP on the MBP using Bootcamp. This is 90% OK although there are some odd issues. Have considered going to Mac OSX but since my software is all win it would be an expensive option. Also, most of my clients use Windows therefore it adds a level of incompatibility if my OS is not what they use/see.

(Jun 25 07, 02:42)I'd like to know as well - isn't it just so much harder creating work (web/interactive) which gets viewed by "most" people on a different platform and behaves differently because of the OS.
I find it hard enough that my clients don't have the same computer as me, but adding in the OS issue is one variable too far.
I'd really like to know how switchers have coped. I have the kit (MBP)and am waiting to hear the reasons why it'll be OK.
