I am trying to be more eco friendly by using circle hooks. I'll probably make them all barbless too. I'm getting kind of tired of buying worms so I may switch to just lures soon.
Spinning lures for now.
I am at a small lake but I like the challenge of trying to learn every detail of the lake and where the fish will be.

no, i meant lakes that only go to like 15 feet deep, etc. ones that look like a kids inflatable pool... some are ok... nothing beats the ocean though... it freaking moves...
take dramamine though if you get motion sickness

a barbless world is a lifeless world

i love fishing.
i have been fly fishing since i was about 7 or so. there is no feeling like wading a river for trout, steelhead, or salmon. it is fun to saltwater as well, but streams are what make life seem limitless.
agua = vida

if i'm anywhere near the ocean, i'm surfing! but i think lake erie is the plan for now, i hope it's not all touristy

Yeah, I wouldn't go eating fish caught on Milwaukee's shore either. But, up further north, or in less industrialized areas, you'll be fine eating the fish.

Hey Anthony...my nephew is visiting from out of town for the next 5 or so days, and I was thinking it might be fun to take him out fishing. Do you know of any boats around LB I might be able to hire to take us out? I dont have any gear, so I would need to rent that too.
Doesn't necessarily need to be in LB, I'm willing to travel an hour or so if you know anyone. Thanks matey!

i'm gonna go buy some waders just for the hell of it!

BTW Anthony, if you have or know where I could rent gear, that would rule! I would just as soon rent it from you as anyone. Hit me back on the internet incoming electronic mail systems.com.

having worn waders barb, i can say that they turn your arse into nothing less than a strange and wobbly wall of rubber. this may or may not work for you ;) they're not so bad when you're in the water though.
i've been fly fishing once and loved it...i have to get back out there.

One of the reasons I live where I do. Fly Fishing is a lot of fun on the rivers.

fly fishing was one of the most peaceful and relaxing experiences ever

i do not pray for anything, at any time, but fly fishing alone on a river is one of the two ways possible to understand self-spirituality, in my opinion.
- tparsons0
Yup.. especially when you catch some beautiful fish
