I'm pretty sure the resizable forms are always there in webkit betas right? and if you wanna open in a new tab, middle click. The font anti-aliasing is much nicer on os x imo compared to windows. its much softer. Of course i knew you could enable font smoothing in firefox and ie :P

strange, but the full screen mode is faulty on the second monitor of my notebook
all other apps, browser or otherwise can be full screened to the aux monitor. however attempting to do so with this release of safari yields a window only visible in the status bar. the application having to be closed and restarted, only showing the app full screened on the main window once it has relaunched
apple check yoself, i found an issue i dunna wunna subscribe ta

a little help please.
I can't install on my mac, running 10.4.9 w/ loads of HD space.
I get error in installation saying "this volume does not meet requirements for this update."
What gives? Do I need to be running an Intel machine? I've downloaded it 3 times w/ same result.

how much ram do you have arthur?
- arterie0
arthur, do all the updates in software updates, run disk utility and then try.
- arthur0
1G of ram and did all the updates earlier, except for QT. Would that make a difference?

Seeing as it reqiures quicktime on the windows version, I'd assume you probably need the latest quicktime on MacOS too

oh gosh. ..I am dreading hearing my idiot mac loving boss going on about Let's All Use Safari now ... tomorrow morning....uggh
it better freaking be standards compliant as best it can ... don't want more testing than already need to do

well it passes the acid test...
anyway, if you're using the windows version and get trouble with the fonts, try this solution:
1. Copy the Lucida Grande font files from Safari.resources to the WindowsFonts directory.
2. Rename the Safari.resources folder to something else.
3. Try to start Safari, get an error message, and dismiss the message.
4. Name Safari.resources back to its original name.
5. Start Safari.
