Poor Dreamhost - they've had a pretty decent reputation prior to this.

hmmm....I still like 'em.

i'd move.
what kind of company keeps all that at a hackers fingertips
the lost cost must have come from the money they were saving on security

I'm going to wait to hear all the details first.

didn't like 2 days ago someone post about how they thought their website was hacked on dreamhost and they said dreamhost was trying to blame their php?
- MichaelFelt0
yeah ive also heard php talk as well
- version30
what details do you need to hear Jaline? that your specific name and account was compromised?
3500 compromised accounts is enough detail to me
- Jaline0
You're right, v5. But I'm not changing anything yet.

at least change your passwords if you haven't already yet, that way the leaked info doesn't match your current info

Well I think they're fine. Mistakes happen. A bank manager lost his laptop in the UK, potentially exposing the details of EVERY customer. Human error I guess. Chances are that every other web company does the same, at least now DH know their mistke and will fix it. Hmm, that rant went on longer than expected, I don't work for them. I'm going now.

I'd would also change my access to restrict it to only certain IP's. My site got hacked ( just the index page ) a couple weeks ago - twice. After the second time I restricted access to only a couple IPs, has happened again
