is it true the video got pulled because people have been having fits?
They should pull the logo while they're at it....

plameskis - is it normal to get slammed for being new here? It's a shame if that's true, but to be expected.
Back to the topic:
I just think that all the talk of an identity system as if it's some kind of popularity contest diminishes the value of design as a whole.
If you ask the public do you like this mark, it cost 400,000 of your money, and it's not what you would do right this minute - frankly they'll probably say no.

THIS GREAT...
I have never seen a logo/brand generate soooo much interest, it's great because it brings design and it's importance/relevance to the forefront of society and creates dialogue (I even had a conversation with my dad about it!!!) but unfortunately in this case for all the wrong reasons, cost, epilepsy, ugly etc!

Precisely!
Another 'new' and fresh thinking gets slammed because he joined recently.
How uncool is that?
Well, perhaps all of you regular residents here are just wasting your time with stupid posts as it they seem by reading through the majority of the subjects discussed here.

(Jun 6 07, 05:52)nah, you got 'slammed' for being a cock. something you just cemented with the above post.

skt - care to explain?

zero ..
as a newcomer you wouldn't know that when a quality design does comes out we're quick to praise it throw it up on our collective shoulders and drink to it's inception no matter the cost or the name behind it.
they may as well redesign it to look like a dead horse that continually gets beaten.
- plamenskis0
Is that so?
And zerogravity got slammed because ...?
He talks sense!I see, that place is almosr as weird as that logo!

Sad truth, is that majority of 'designers' these days are in for the beauty contest and if only they manage to stay long enough in the profession they come to realise that there more to it.

(Jun 6 07, 06:07)his argument for members of this community not liking this logo was that we were all goldfish, didn't understand and should go back to making flash. he has tried consistently in this thread to patronise everyone that hasn't agreed with him with fuck all to back it up (he works in a wine shop). now he is claiming victim. boo fucking hoo.

plaminkski .. re-read .. i addressed zero.

@kelpie - it's no problem. Thanks for apology.
It does seem kind of abrasive here though.
