I agree with your thinking, plamenskis, but unfortunately, the people have spoken - and they hate it.

I am not trying to justify a mistake, I just look at it from a different angle.
I look beyond the fact that perhaps it is aesthetically ugly. But it has to be, in order to allow people play with is and not feel intimdated by it.

People don't hate, they have already played with it. It's a good sign for interactivity.

as somebody said earlier,
the idea is definitely good, its just badly executed.

It's always the same excuse, isn't it?
Just as long it's "democratic" and people "start talking about it" and "reflect" and do theraphy together it's ok.
although it has nothing to do with pushing a good graphic form but a political purpose it's ok.

i honestly don't understand the concept even after watching the the video twice. i'm not the one to toss an idea out the window if i don't comprehend but this beat me to it.
this is a logo done w/ althletes- tested-positive- for-drugs in mind.

Exactly, Naygon. Hence all strikingly beautiful women end up drinking alone at the bar.

that thing isn't visionary. It's already dated. Looks like something DR did years ago.

I met moth in person. In London.
- plamenskis0
It is visionary as it is as they wanted it:
Seb Coe said: "London 2012 will be 'Everyone's Games', everyone's 2012. This is the vision at the very heart of our brand.
And everyone has already played and laught at it.

it looks like shit, period.
- plamenskis0
It's a dada type of logo.
No everyone can get it. ;-)
- ********0
Oh we get it, it still is executed poorly and looks like complete shit.

I am Moth's secret love child.
In London.

if it's dadaism they're trying to achieve then it's not something to "get" isn't it?!?!
- ********0
if it was something "not to get" then why are they giving explanations for their concept and it's meaning?

why does the logo need to be 'played' with? the whole idea is to create a recognisable mark for the event/campaign. having people screw it up and fuk around with it on tshirts isnt going to make it stronger - its just going to create confusion and detract from the primary brand. IMO
