I am putting together some screen shots for a short TV promo and I have been given the following details:
Widescreen 16:9
720x576 pxDo I just produce a doc that is this pixel height and width or do I need to do something in particular.
Sorry – NO experience with this stuff

Hey dancer,
Not sure what you're looking for in particular but there's some good reading here:
http://www.wildform.com/tutorial…
It about flash to video but there's more generic info in it too.
Oh and if you're doing stuff in Photoshop craete a new document and select one of the broadcast optons.
PAL is UK/Europe
NTSC is AmericaRead more here:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/PAL…Each format is a slightly different ratio so set it up accordingly. Photoshop has these different formats listed and you can select one with guides.
Theres an action safe guide (outer area) which is safe for picture bleed etc. and Title safe guides guarantee that text won't be cropped on different screens.
Best of luck!

Widescreen 16:9
720x576 pxThat's anamorphic widescreen. When you save it from photoshop and look at it, it should look squished.
