that exact one is done using cutline
no doubt about it - cut line gives these slightly raggedy lines..
another way u can do it is scriptographer which will give u uber crisp lines..
another way is to rotate ur image 45o > goto filters/sketch/halftonepattern >up the contrast and down the line width>apply>rotate image back to original angle...
just fuck about and ull find the one that suits you best

before you convert to bitmap and use halftoning option (with lines)...feather the image slightly (or more for more effect)...that'll give you the thick and thin lines when you apply halftone with lines.
--yep - crank your dpi when you convert to bitmap from greyscale.. method = halftone screen, angle = 45, shape = line.. once done convert back to rgb then scale down..
you may have to fiddle around a bit...

"I think you can get the effect converting the image into bitmap format and setting it to halftone screen (shape:line) or something similar.
Play around with the bitmap settings.
