(May 16 07, 03:05)Haha.. not a long way home from siné for you!
A friend moves out of a lovely 1bed apt with a river view on this quay today.. I would've taken it if it weren't for the sea view I have now in Howth

Parasalene - The Castle is your local aswell? That 6am license will be the death of me....

Mulligans.. I'll try that Ian, thanks. Why I never went to Stag's Head remains a mystery to me, I was close to do so a million times. Biá bar is a very good one.
There is this place on William St South, not sure what it's called (South William??).. glass facade and palm-like plants in front.. I always wanted to give it a try.

I usually just drink alone at home in the dark, naked and filthy... basking in the warm glow of defeat...

Aye Market Bar is good but mainly for the fairly cheap tapas. Not really a place where you'd wanna stay for the evening.
How about Mulligans of Poolbeg st (behind the screen cinema) best Guinness in Dublin (or so im told) and they have a strict no mobile phone policy. Or the Stags head off Dame st.
The globe is pretty cool or Bia bar but they get pretty loud of a friday night.
Dunno about relaxing the late license, the govt think it would have too detrimental an effect on the Irish populace. Yet it works on the continent. Go figure...

all the antipodeans in one block, there's a surprise!
that chippy always tries to stuff me with chips even if i don't want any. he winks at me and says "i put a few chips in anyway luv" and then i have to give them to the crackheads outside cos i really didn't want them. community spirit innit.

lol raf!
Schoolhouse isn't bad but its a bit full of suits, I prefer the grunginess of SinÉ. Oh the dank, the dank! Plus I live about 5 mins away from it.
ian
(May 16 07, 01:14)Schoolhouse was a suit place when I try to remember, but used to fill with Spanish folks after 10, they were always fun crowd.
My problem in Dublin is to find a good pub where music volume allows to talk, rather than shout to each other (apart from the musicless market bar http://marketbar.ie/bar.php). Apparently, loud sells more beer.
I wonder if they ever relax opening hours, it's ridiculous to be kicked out so early.I'm glad you liked my photos, thanks.
