it takes the blink of an eye to kidnap a child so checking on her every 20 minutes is a joke.

(May 14 07, 08:34)And all the other things. What if there was a fire, or if they cut themselves. The list is endless with children. If they wanted to be on their own, they should of used the facilities available, or taken the kids with them.
Its a terrible thing which has happend but I can't help but think that all the footage of them going to church is a way of absolving themselves.

you will have to excuse kyl3 for that- there is still snow in Ned...

rafalski, I get why people relate to it and in some weird way want to follow it (it's almost like a film or tv show with plot developments etc) I understand why the media follows it and why the public want to hear about it, I'm just questioning that. I think it's wrong. The only positive thing that can come out of it is to remind parents to look after their kids when on holiday.
I just think that headline stories on the news should cover more important issues.

I know they've made a new poster because she has a distinctive pupil in her right eye, but I really hope whoever has taken her don't do anything nasty to hide it!!

this is one of the reasons I have been considering getting a tracking device implanted in my baby girl - or a lojack necklace - watch - or bracelet.

The other week I was driving home and as I was passing a park and I noticed a guy taking pictures of children playing. It looked dodgy because he was hiding the camera in his jacket when he was taking them.

Baskerville, British news (ie. bbc) always amazed me with how they mixed 'serious' news coverage with tabloid-worthy material on the first page. One would think that bbc being public doesn't have to sell ads, but obviously they need to keep the ratings high.
Still, this story is interesting sociologically, because it touches people's deep fear of unexplained evil happening to them. It wasn't just fate or anything random that happens to people, there is an obscure enemy there.

That's creepy, phatlee.
Maybe he's bulking up his portfolio?

true rafalksi.
I love looking at the front page of the bbc news site. Then looking at the 'most email' and 'most read' stories. They're always so different.
eg today most emailed story:
'Mars starts using animal products'reminds me of this hilarious Onion articlem so true:
