'big tings agwan'
from a card a friend sent me from here...
http://www.bigupdesign.com/galleā¦
in my view some of the finest cards to grace the shelves of any north/east london newsagent.. seriously.

word. bro. brah. holmes.
what, are we fucking extras in the movie rad now?
haha.
i used to hang out with a dude who would call everyone bro, then his classic, 'what up my brotha from anotha motha'. ugh... exit, stage left.
- k0na_an0k0
haha, this got me thinking.
i almost always say 'hey what up man!?!' when i see someone i know, but when i'm strapped for time and in a hurry i used to say quickly 'hi' to everyone.
well, i stopped doing that a couple months ago when one monday morning i was walking past an asian guy in the office and i was like 'hi' (which to him sounded a lot like an asian saying hi to someone) and the next thing i know i'm getting a sensitivity training invite. fuck. now it's 'hello' to everyone. haha.
- Mimio0
Anybody say "hoss" yet?
My ears can't bear it.
- ender790
this will break it down for you, circa 2000:
good song, bad/stupid pics.

(May 11 07, 10:12)WTF?? That dude/bro/man was hyper-sensitive..
- k0na_an0k0
maybe theblueone. i never asked if it was just a coincidence in the timing of the training or not.
it's not like i walked past him and was like 'hi' and bowed while wearing a ninja uniform.

(May 11 07, 10:19)And this happened in America?
- ender790
and you didn't wave your hand in a wax-on, wax-off motion? cause he probably wouldn't like that either.
- k0na_an0k0
yes theblueone
no ender
half the time now i say hello, the other half i say howdy.
howdy really throws people off.
- flavorful0
You want to really throw people off?
When they ask you how you are doing, smile real big (you should be doing this already) and go, "A HELL WHOLE OF A LOT BETTER THAN YOU!"
And then just keep walking without making eye contact like they never existed in the first place.
- k0na_an0k0
haha... good LORD you are a s.o.b. hahaha!
i bet there is never a dull moment for your friends when hanging out with you. and i mean that in the best way possible. hahah!
- alacran0
okay i guess it's been established then that "Word" is kinda lamel but what about if you are white and are asked by another white guy if you are "frontin"?
Shouldn't you then be asking him if he is "frontin" because he just asked a white guy if he is "frontin"? I wish Eminem were here to represent. I'm out.
- TheBlueOne0
kOna..sorry man..that's just dumb..."Hi" is normal everyday american english...and has been for a longtime..what? I gotta police what I say bc of someone's perceived insult of everyday common language? Bullshit.
Hey, I go to Japan and am very careful not to use "Hi" in that context, not only because it's potentially offensive I suppose but also it's confusing...but fuck that..you're in America and this guy got upset for saying "Hi??"
Dude deserved a beating.
Reminds me of the time when we got into a brawl because we were eating in a chinese restuarant and my friend was trying to describe a sound and said "ching ching"..the people at the next table starting shouting at us "Why ar eyou using racial remarks!" and we're like WTF are you talking about? We're talking about the sound of an instrument!" And they're like "You're calling us chinks!" Well, lets say calm heads did not prevail and it got ugly.
The funny part was, we were an interracial group of people (white, black, latino and asian) and they were three chinese dudes sitting in a fucking chinese restuarant and they wanted to school us on "being bigots"...

flav is indeed the man.
- ender790
people just look for reasons to get offended these days.
- k0na_an0k0
completely agree theblueone.
i don't know, maybe the dude was having a bad morning or something and was looking for someone to take it out on. i say 'howdy' to him now all the time. i'm trying to be 'extra american' for him. haha.
dude, your story is awesome! haha. some people are just too fucking sensitive these days.
