Apparently, someone has ordered a Reventón as well. (Vancouver - no snow, but lots of rain)

Congrats bro! Easily one of the most thrilling rides out there.
What year/color is it?
If you want to do a clear corner / smoked tails mod, I got some spare parts off mine :)

2004, black ext, black int. Titanium wheels, Miura Corsa exhaust. You can't modify the exhaust on them past 2004, and it took about 200 pounds off!

congrats jesse, get some winter tires on it for when you pick me up at the airport and take me to whistler ;)

Fuck yeah, boy! Are you coming up here for snowboarding? If so when?

I've read that lamborghinis are poorly made. during a top gear test of the gallardo they noticed that the paint on the shifter wore off and chipped.

There is no paint on the shifter of mine. It's aluminum. I'd have to disagree, they are superior crafted machines.

might not be as exotic as a Lambo, but I tested a Benz 290 GD today
Damn that is one fine off road car.
93' model, no rust and well oiled and maintained over the years.
Took it off the road for a good hour and it went 80% of the places I go with my Defender, and that was with worn down summer tires. A set of 32" BFG A/T will make it unstoppable.
I'm in trouble now, I love my Defender, but I really like the Benz G-wagen too.. But can't have both.

(Oct 20 07, 09:51)I would have to disagree and say it's one of the - if not THE most well-made supercar today. Audi quality with Italian blood. And unlike Ferrari, maintenance is not bad at all.
And the gear lever is all aluminium, has no paint on it. Clarkson even owns a G Spyder - I doubt he hates it that bad...

Smooth moves, jox. What I appreciate about a Lamborghini is that it's almost science in an art form. There's nothing radical about the styling, it's all based around the mechanics and where you are situated in the vehicle, which gives you amazing ergonomics and handling. Even the Reventón is practical though radical, it's based and inspired by air craft technology and looks a lot like an AMX III!

How on Earth can you afford one of those, JJ? Are you involved in other things beyond design?
Sorry, a bit nosy, I know - I'm just curious - the Gallardo's got a hefty price tag, as far as I can see.
(Spot the guy who knows nothing about cars!)

It's saturday morning, and I'm workin me buns off bud.

Fair enough, but.. so do many other people in the industry.
Well, I guess you've found a healthy seam to work on - so good luck to you!

Classy, detritus.

I'm a designer because I need to be. To appease my visual creativity. I do lot's of other things that I needn't bother you with.
- detritus0
Sorry, I really wasn't after a figure or anything - I was just curious as to how someone I perceive as being solely a designer can do that. I could understand if he ran his own business or something.. but I don't know whether that's the case here.
I was merely interested in what else JJ's involved with. That's all.
- detritus0
Fair enough. None of my business.

It's cool, man. I just design from home or remotely. I used to have the full get up and office, but it was basically nonsense for me. I invest in a lot of things, music, art, writing and stuff, but it makes me want to puke talking about it, so I'd rather not.

I don't think that the current lambo lineup is attractive. When are they replacing the murcielago?

What cars do you think are attractive?
