what is the deal with these 10-20 or so kids. you know who im talking about. theyre all like, 20 years old, and all of their work looks exactly the same. the kids who were born and bred on depthcore and now all seem to flock around this "kdu" deal.
i mean, look at this kids shit. about 80% of it is all collaborations and experimental pieces. all of these people have completely similar looking stuff. it's not even just like a trend, you know, the swirly fonts and white airbrush flares all over, and tons of stock recycled photography (with random bits of it chopped with the selection tool and thrown under a ripple filter..)
i dont understand this. like, ive never seen a group of people who need to team up so endlessly to create pieces that all look the same and whatnot. do you guys have real clients with real messages u need to communicate? 90% of the sparkley nonsense would never fly for a client.. so what other works are u producing? what else are you making that is YOURS, and not a collaboration? why do you need to pimp depthcore and KDU and not try and find your own shit.
mrph.

what if...
its all done for fun!!
for the ferocity of the creativivity to make you think its for a client but the reality its just kids doing dope collabs endlessly with each other...what if... its just good art, that is being pushed thru the limits of colour and shape in creative compositions....
what if...
...qruise, it seems yourr imagination is limited by only what you feel is the just and right way of being a designer, yet here they are trying to do something clearly they love and do it very well.
or...its just there to itimidate you...

Dude. Wack. Now theres a friggin word for the 'people who say word' thread. And Ive been wrackin me brains for more of em!
Anywho, about the work, some is lovely, some isnt. The only thin that bugged me was the scroll bar being the same colour as the bg. I can think of worse things that irk me than this so there's my tuppence worth.
Think qruise needs a hug though, or at least a post on something he/she likes. To quote Donald Sutherland:
Why don't you knock it off with them negative waves? Why don't you dig how beautiful it is out here? Why don't you say something righteous and hopeful for a change?

It reminds me when I was a student, doing those 3D abtract things on every single piece work, whatever the brief could be. Now it's seen as overseen or hasbeen, like these swirl/pure colour mix in 6month...
It will be in the cliché box, which we love to hate, but try to use : paintdrips, dear/eagles, royal pattern and swirls, etc...

nice works mr dyspl
