Tell her that she will have to approve the original quote that estimated for 300 images.
If she can't afford that, then encourage her to look elsewhere. Perhaps her nanny has a 15 year old cousin who likes to use Corel draw who can make her a web site for 75 bucks.

np k0na, glad you got her off your back and you can concentrate on your busy travel schedule :)
- Jaline0
sounds like she doesn't appreciate your job or know what it entails.
- k0na_an0k0
Damn, I should have said this in my last post.
Thank you guys and gals for your input. Much appreciated.
Have a good night!

Yeah you're right Jaline.
I'm already at about 88%.
:)
sputnik I do think she tried to pull a fast one on me with her requests. There are some major modifications in the doc that to any company or freelancer would push the price up a few grand. Unreal.
- Jaline0
you'll feel 100% better really soon
;)

abba and sputnik, that is kind of what I did at first... adding a rush fee for the extra time it will take, and telling her I'd have to revise the contract and such, but in the end this has been problematic from the beginning and there were far too many red flags.
We started talking about a month and a half ago, she dragged her feet until now. The problem is I might be traveling quite a bit next month testing a new product of ours and I'll have absolutely no time for freelance.
This was/is an omen to not do the project.
I feel bad but I feel so fucking good too.
- -sputnik-0
yes, she probably did think she was sneaking something past you. i'm glad you caught it and dumped her...i hope she feels like a tool
- k0na_an0k0
lol v5.
Man, that felt SO fucking good. She's been dropped. After looking through her document she had written in notes specifically asking for things I told her 2 weeks ago I would not be able to do at this price, and those things will have to be done in round 2 when she has more money. WTF. Did she think I would not notice?!?
- -sputnik-0
if she agreed to the terms tell her you cannot continue without a revised agreement since she has breached the terms of your contract. changing images from 100 to X or nav pages from 4 to 7 is a breach so you either have to stop everything and get her to sign a revision, or tell her you can't do the work.
people are rude and will impose all they can on you if you let them. sad but true.

Call her up and curse her in French.

Let her know that you would be happy to complete the project and will revise the proposal price based on the new information. Also let her know that you have only scheduled time to complete the 100 photos previously agreed upon, if she needs all the photos in the same amount of time there will be a 25% rush fee added or you can complete the 100 and will schedule time to complete the new photos when you have time available.
- version30
if they change the terms, so should you
i have the software you need to finish this no problem :)
