If you keep a tight schedule with your work and make all your deadlines, why the need for an employer to give an employee 9-5 pressure? Especially if said employee is a freelancer? What is the rationalization of thiese absurd requests?

Agreed, it makes no sense. I guess it makes the man feel like your pimp.

Control. Some people still think in old ways and are not comfortable with the flexability modern workers sometimes prefer or thrive in.
I myself, am a night owl, and get the most work done later in the day/evening than during typical work hours. Typical work schedules don't work well for me.

a lot of times the clients want you to work on their hours if they have or you have questions it can be answered at that moment.

http://www.flickr.com/photos/ntm…but on the real, business hours are for the 9-5ers. The people that go to work, get a pay check, go home and are happy with that. the majority of people are like that, freelancers tend to be the bust your ass type of people, because money depends on hitting deadlines, reputation and moving onto the next big thing. some people assume everyone is a 9 -5 person and need that structure.
