Anyone want to trade for a copy of ProTools?

hmmmrpphhh:(

will you include any hardware? you can just get the protools Mpowered and a used maudio audiofile and that would be more effiencent then just trading...unless you want the protoolsHD version.

i'll never go back to pro tools, although i still get job offers for mixing gigs from time to time.
logic pro + apogee converters = delicious audio heaven

you really prefer it?
I am wanting to give it a go.

and what about virtual drummers like strike or BFD, can you use them in Logic?
- acescence0
BFD is available as an AU plugin, so you can use that. as far as i know, strike is RTAS only, so no go on that. logic comes with a few really nice bits of it's own- a good sampler, a pretty amazing drum synth, plus a few other synths.
protools is great, don't get me wrong, it's just not as well suited to the heavy midi stuff that i still use. plus logic is just so far beyond with their virtual "environment" world.
also, the way i see it, pt had the advantage when computers weren't powerful enough to do lots of tracks + processing, so the cards were necessary. that's not at all the case any more. they've also had a history of being well behind OS and core software updates, and i see this getting worse. apple is now competing directly with them on the software, and apogee is in tight on the hardware. i think they might be screwed on the mac platform.

the virtual enviro looks very interesting in Logic.
Only reason I ask abou thte drums is I like how those 2 have pre-recorded drums in diff styles and measures. So I don't have to sit there for hours trying to figure out beats for quick demos I want to throw together.
Does logics drum synth have these features also?
- acescence0
the drum synth has a step sequencer that's quick for dialing up beats, but not as simple as pre-recorded loops. however, there are these things called apple loops, kind of like recycle et al, where it's a sample and a map of where it's chopped up so you can change tempo and feel. some of them are quite good.

(Apr 25 07, 16:02you know how they say: there like 2000 sounds in each apple loops cd. funny doh, even with them all...its still feels like you have no souuuuuuuund selection. =P heh.
I do the tunes in Garageband. Logic is pretty complicated, well...if you new to it.
