i used to work for a laserpointer company and people were always asking about wickedlasers. they are legal here in the us, but we (just for the lower end of green laser pointers) weren't able to send them to the nederlands.
the ones we sold were kinda cool. you could see the beam at night. useful for astronomers.
i often thought the weirdest thing was that you are using a pointer that is 10000+ ft long, as an extension of your own self, and are able to move it around like your own arm.
when i was at a reservoir in iowa, we'd shine it on the lake at an angel and it'd reflect and hit the trees at the other side nearly 1/4 mi away. kinda cool. but i would never pay money for one.
