this happened to me in Minneapolis. I moved to the best neighborhood in town, two weeks later my car was stolen. I found it two blocks away in some guy's driveway.

i'm not sure how this thread got off on such a tangent, but thanks to all of those who helped me with the issue at hand! clearly my contract needs some modifications.
so, once i add something into my contract about 2 or 3 or so designs being provided in the project cost, whose fault is it if after the 2nd or 3rd design, i'm still unable to provide the client with what they want?

in your discovery meeting, just have confidence in your work, make the client feel confident in your abilities. promise 2-3 comps and one or two rounds of revisions. after that - change order. $$
finish this client out, maintain your rep. but learn and dont put yourself in this position again.
we've all been there. it's frustrating. just learn and grow. dont take it personally.
