Okay, I just watched the interview with him on The View (which he claims will be his only one about this situation right now), and I have to say....he makes a compelling case. I'm not really on anyone's side here (because we haven't heard Kim), but Alec does really have some personal and good examples of parental alienation.
This book about it apparently discusses how women are privileged in the courts when it comes to custody battles, which is true in some areas (such as California), and how he tried to resolve this battle a long time ago but Kim never wanted any part of negotiations.
Alec discussed (in the interview) how people perceive the actions of each sex towards their children to be different (pretty obvious though) or that they should be different.
He actually feels that women are more upset about this court favouritism since their husbands don't get to see their children from their ex-wives.
Basically, he wants to be let go of from 30 Rock so that he can focus on this idea of parental alienation and can do other things with his life. I heard that they won't be letting him go though since he's a large part of their success...

just because they're famous.
ps, this is not culture,. Like really, who gives a flying fuck about baldwins custody battle and what his opinions are? well you do...
nevermind.
- Jaline0
First of all, I didn't start this thread.
Secondly, your opinions don't matter much because you either take things too personally, or you make personal attacks at others.
Also, the masses have to do with culture. And the masses are obsessed with celebrities, especially in this time when someone can just push a button and the entire life of someone is revealed.
So it is a part of culture.
I'm so used to analyzing films and television in classes that I do it on a regular basis now.

exhibit c: thought he was the firstit's kuz!

He could just be trying to discipline her. I don't think corporal punishment solves anything. But disciplining sometimes means that the parent cares about their kids well being.

i missed the cartesian duality bit. dead give away.
now if he was to start telling everyone how to get laid, there would be no question.
