I was working on proposal on Word. I closed and forgot to save. Anyway to get it back!? I am on a MAC!

go to Help and type "retrieving files"

thing is..i was writing it..and never saved it..no file to retrieve.

if you closed Word but still have some Office app running, try it nonetheless - there's a list of recently used/active files somewhere.

well i opened up a new document..start writing..and closed it..i dont know...i will try though!

Once my girlfriend spent hours typing up an essay for university, and left Word open when she went to bed because she wasn't quite done. Well, her roommate closed the document without saving it. Bad. For some reason my girlfriend never saw fit to save a copy herself, so the WHOLE thing was lost. Worse.
Thought I'd share to maybe make you feel a bit better. It's all I can do. :\
