Once my girlfriend spent hours typing up an essay for university, and left Word open when she went to bed because she wasn't quite done. Well, her roommate closed the document without saving it. Bad. For some reason my girlfriend never saw fit to save a copy herself, so the WHOLE thing was lost. Worse.
Thought I'd share to maybe make you feel a bit better. It's all I can do. :\
