Good thing I made that site though, it helped me get my first job at AKQA right when the dot com bust was just starting to go away and companies started hiring again. It was realllllly hard going through school during the dot com bust days knowing you really didn't have hope for a job.
But I had a really smart teacher who pretty much pushed me on. He said that the dotcom bust was just the cleansing of all the bad talent and practices out there. And I will have to agree. Even though it sucked, it got rid of a lot of the so called web designers and allowed the good people to shine who stuck it out. It also allowed for the technology to progress without a bunch of hacks holding it back.
The dot com bust was the best thing that could have happened for our industry.
