I'm sure I'm not the first one to ask about making radiating lines from a center point in PS or Illustrator. Just curious what methods you prefer to do the effect below:
I needed something more simple like a 1 px line radiating from the center for something recently, and simply created a PS action that took a single line and rotated it 5 degrees, copied, rotated, etc. until it had gone 360 degrees.
Simpe solution, works well. But for lines and shapes larger than 1 px, what's the best way to do this? Same thing as the action above? There are better examples than the Bravery site, that's just something I came across a few secs ago and reminded me I was meaning to ask this.

same things.. bigger increments i guess

long skinny triangles, rotated

I've done it before by creating a bunch of lines, rotating them at regular angle intervals then using pathfinder to split them up and make shapes out of them and color them.

isn't that like a presest in illy cs2?

lines fills, spaced equally apart, but parallel up next to one another, then in ps filters - distort to polar will get you started.

(Apr 10 07, 14:41)draw it in AI and add texture in PS... any graphic elements are far more useful if you create with vectors and build your library.

Draw a line, create the central point at one end and rotate whilst holding down shift to duplicate, then hit Ctlr-D or Cmd-D on a mac to create multiples.
