re: Warlord.
There was a second hand bookshop in my town that had regular donations of Starblazer comics. They were on the bottom shelf, displayed facing away from the cashier desk, making it very easy for 13 year old me to just as regularly steal them all.
My collection was sadly lost when my Father threw out mosy of my stuff when I went to Uni, but I occasionally dip into eBay and buy a few here and there to try and get a full collection.
Most of them are total shit, but then there're ones like this - one my all-time favourite comics:
It was so well illustrated and had some great techno-drawing, and not a bad story to boot.
Otherwise, they were mostly like this:
~20p! lol

Fell down a bit of a comic book rabbit hole today, after re-reading a few of my Franquin-era Spirou et Fantasio books, then some of Enki Bilal's Trilogie Nikopol (masterpiece) ... then I started trying to remember the name of one of the erotic artists, Italian guy I think. I can't remember his name for the life of me, but I do remember one of his books centring around a guy who's invisible, and gets up to all sorts of things (as you can imagine).
Anyone know who I'm talking about?
- Manara!spl33nidoru
- I thought it sounded like Milo Manara, it was. It was also made into a film bizzarelyPhanLo

- Yikes. I'll give that film a miss.Continuity
- Wow had no idea a film was made from that comic. I grew up on these, the sweet time of illustrated erotic fantasies rather than porn.spl33nidoru
- Yeah the movies isn't looking good.

Out of necessity, I had to start keeping track of issues I have on order, so I don't accidentally buy the same thing twice. When you're hunting for single issues, it's all about finding a seller that has other stuff you want too. So, this is what my matrix looks like. It looks chaotic as fuck, but it's a system I can understand.
- Serious!
I admire your dedication.
Got the Low Book One Hardcover a while back, really love the drawings.PhanLo - If you dig Remender, and dope ass art, Seven to Eternity is a fucking goldmine.DRIFTMONKEY
- Cheers Driftmonkey! You're always recommending good stuff :-)PhanLo
- Fo sho. Remender has such a great take on Sci-Fi. When you read his work, it's so easy to imagine the translation to film. With Seven to Eternity, it's crystal.DRIFTMONKEY
- Serious!
- OBBTKN2
- Nice. Have you read The Incal? I'm curious about his collabs with Jodorowski,DRIFTMONKEY
- A pair of decades ago, I admire him, but not a big fan, not in my top 10OBBTKN

Just getting into Ed Brubaker and Sean Phillips' work, the beautiful art is what got me curious but the stories are so well written.
I highly recommend to check their work out if you like the noir genre.I started with Pulp, I think it's their latest release.
And I'm now deep into Kill Or Be Killed, which I love.
Will probably get Criminal next.
- Those guys are great and really produce nice work together. I'm not a big superheroes reader. but I loved Brubaker's run on Captain America.Wolfboy
- Never cared much for Captain America but I'll add this to my reading list, thanks Wolfboyspl33nidoru
- Criminal is fantastic. One of my favorites.DRIFTMONKEY
- @spl33 my position too, but Brubaker turned it into a cool espionage story. It's still a capes and tights book, but it's taken in an interesting direction.Wolfboy
- Thanks Wolf, getting it next!spl33nidoru

I really like the look of this comic. It's a silent/no dialogue sci-fi book. Hedra by Jesse Lonergan:
