I've just bought myself a little piece of nostalgia, when I was a kid my regular comics of choice were Transformers and 2000AD so I picked up a trade of this bad boy:
and it has in it, my favourite transformers strip from when I used to read it:
it is drawn by my favourite Transformers artist, Geoff Senior, he used to draw them with such clean lines and drew some excellent battles that inspired me to draw hundreds of transformers battles that would all contain Ultra Magnus having his eyes smashed.

that last book is one I bought yesterday, but I'm just reading the first two trades of Planetary and I've got to say I've found it pretty disappointing so far. It's just been a bit light weight in the story department, every tale seems to not quite get going or something. I'm gonna stick with it because I think the overall arc might be getting better.

Ugh ... I'm sorry to say this Secret Invasion storyline is boring the hell out of me. It started out like a bat out of hell but it has come to like a screeching stop ... but somehow by coming to a screeching stop it's only expanded the number of books involved.
This one-off stories, and taking 3 issues to move forward about 15 minutes is excruciating.
Also ... kudos for doing so much back story with the Skrulls ... I guess? I mean, it shows you did a lot of homework, or more writing ... but there is a reason no one really gave a shit about them before.
