The only thing about "Y" is that guys seem to like it more than girls. I don't know if it's true or not, but, according to a lot of reviews I have read, apparently most of the female characters are one-dimensional, thus turning other women off from the story. Not sure if this is true, but I will read it for myself and judge later.

Chase is the man! The whole girthy Gert thing irks me out though (as you pointed out, haha). I like Niko a lot. They should hookz0rs up.

The second volume breaks out like a bat out of hell as well, you'll enjoy it a lot if you're liking it so far.
I like all the characters (even Gert, she's hilarious), it's really a great book. You're going to catch up to the it's insane release schedule (of which there does not seem to be one, haha) and get angry for awhile that it's not a consistent published title.

Damn it. Whedon's run on Astonishing X-Men is over except for the Giant Sized Special and I have a sneaky suspicion there are two things that are going to happen as a result that I don't want to see happen to its storyline. :(

e-pill, I just try to guess how comics are done. I may not be correct. Most of them look like they were inked by hand and use photoshop for coloring. Sometimes you can recognize how brushstrokes were done. As far as the New Avengers comic I was referring to, the ink really looked like it had digital textures and the outlines of the water look just like an effect I've seen from vector programs. The paint looked like watercolor but i'd be suprised if it really is. I'll post an example if I can find one.

just finished reading Ultimate Spider-Man #118 and have to say it was one of the best spidey issues that didnt show spidey but showed peter and his love interests also showed the introduction to spidey and his amazing friends... one of the best issues i ever read, was so excited to see what the next page would bring!! i reconmend this issue for anyone to purchase... great art too... had betrayal, love, action, sex, romance and lots of amazing friends!!!
